The heaviest nocturnal rain showers are often recorded on the windward side of the island during the night of 7-8 August. After midnight, the nocturnal inversion disappears as the surface temperature and moisture content increase. This is attributed to the fact that the warm surface air and low moisture content is mixed with the cold katabatic flow in the deep layer. In this deep layer, the rain is heavier than at surface level, and this is associated with weak westerly winds.
They are good swimmers
Although it’s not a good idea to step in a wet squirrel’s puddle, you can help them get dry by drying them off and placing them in a warm environment.
