How to Make a Squirrel Nesting Box

For example, you’ll need to have a protective guard covering the opening to prevent predators from getting inside. After you’ve built the base of the nesting box, you can put it outside in the protected area but don’t place it in an exposed area.

The design of the squirrel box is important. It should be deep enough to protect the young from predators, but shallow enough to keep out predators. You should also make the doorway high enough to allow the squirrels to get in and out easily. This will keep the young safe from raccoons.
