To calculate the correct amount of formula, multiply the squirrel’s weight by 7%, and multiply the answer by the number of ccs in the syringe. This formula should be given to the squirrel four times a day, or every four hours.
Northern flying squirrels eat raw meat
There are a few different species of flying squirrels that live in Alaska. The two most common are Yukonensis and Zaphaeus. Each subspecies eats a wide variety of foods, ranging from eggs to carrion. In addition to raw meat, these squirrels also eat eggs, carrion, and small birds. Because they are nocturnal, they spend most of their time at night, while they also spend part of the day hiding in tree cavities and tree brooms. The only times that they get free water are during breeding season and during winter.

Other photos from other readers suggest that the squirrels tend to pick quartz/quartz-like stones. Despite this, the behaviour of this tiny animal is likely driven by a mineral deficiency, which may explain their discerning taste in choosing stones.
They dig holes
